Rug hooking technique, outdoor inspiration


Patricia Winans exhibition of contemporary fibre art “Shared Solitudes” will be held from November 1-November 30 at Moncton Public Library Gallery in Moncton, NB, Canada.

Lori LaBerge has contemporary abstract work showing at The Claypool-Young Art Gallery at Morehead State University from October 16-November 29.

Laura Pierce is running The Little River Inn Rug Camp from Nov. 3-Nov.8 near the Mendocino Coast, CA.

Susan Feller authored an article for the September-October issue of “Rug Hooking Magazine” entitled “The Moods of Color and Value”.

Susan Feller and Lori LaBerge have had work juried into “Hooked Art 2014” to be held at University of Connecticut, Stamford.


Works by Susan Feller and Lori LaBerge will be part of the exhibit “Hooked Rugs 2014” at University of Connecticut, Stamford, CT from October 25-November 29.  Opening reception will be October 25 from 1-4 p.m. at The Gallery at One University Place.  Please join us.



Laura Pierce will hold the Little River Inn Rug Camp, November 2-4 on the Mendicino Coast.

Lori LaBerge will be at the Carolina Designer Craftsmen Guild exhibition in Raleigh, NC on Thanksgiving weekend with her new “Road Series” work.


Laura Pierce will hold a 4-day retreat at Sauder Village entitled “Photorealism in an Impressionistic Medium” from August 12-15 as part of the 18th Annual Rug Hooking Week.


Lori LaBerge will be on the Toe River Open Studio Tour from December 5-7. Her studio will also be open on December 4th to celebrate The International Guild of Handhooking Rugmakers first “International Hook-In Day”.


The Plein Air Hooking Artists had a special exhibit of their work at Sauder Village Rug Hooking Week August 12-15, 2015 in Archbold, OH.


Jean Ottosen’s series “Poppies” will be showing at Traditions Handcraft Gallery in Regina, SK as part of a group exhibit.
